About G.B.Y.S

God Bless You, Sister is an online community-like blog that promotes a sisterhood and brotherhood, in Christ, for all backgrounds. For now this community is really about sisters and brothers in Christ supporting, helping, giving, encouraging, uplifting, & sharing with other sisters and bothers who may/may not be in Christ. Our sisters and brothers are not just our relatives but there are also our Sisters and Brothers in Christ and our future sisters and brothers in Christ. The bible says in Matthew 12:48-50: But he replied to the man who told him, “Who is my mother, and who are my brothers?” And stretching out his hand toward his disciples, he said, “Here are my mother and my brothers! For whoever does the will of my Father in heaven is my brother and sister and mother.” Anyone who follows Christ is our sister and brother in Christ and it is my hope as  a Sister in Christ to bring more people to Christ so that will become our Sisters and Brothers in Christ by extending God’s love to all.

GBYS, is not the place for arguments, negativity, judgement, condemnation and/or exclusion. I warmly welcome you here and I hope that you will touched by the love that is evident in our community ( our family here), in what we say, in how we treat each other and what we do.

What to expect here ?

1) I want to start a dialogue/conversation here about the things that are going on around us, what we experience…and ultimately bring God into our conversations. There’s a lot of chatter happening these days and God is becoming more and more absent from our conversations, and this should not be.

2) I want to uplift girls and boys by offering words of encouragement, sound advice, and positive outlooks on life and self-worth and much more.

3) I understand that it’s one thing to say X and it’s another to DO X. The bible says in 1 John 3:18: Dear children, let us not love with words or speech but with actions and in truth. That is what I want to do here. GBYS, is hoping to be able to help support not only each other in times of need but also to others out there in the world who may need help.

As a whole, I hope that you’ll leave here feeling encouraged, uplifted, and ultimately loved. Not because of some self-righteousness but because Jesus Christ first loved us so that we may also love others. The bible says in Mark 12:31 ( in regards to the commandments) : The second is this: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ There is no commandment greater than these.

Some bible verses:

1 John 3:16-24

By this we know love, that he laid down his life for us, and we ought to lay down our lives for the brothers. But if anyone has the world’s goods and sees his brother in need, yet closes his heart against him, how does God’s love abide in him? Little children, let us not love in word or talk but in deed and in truth. By this we shall know that we are of the truth and reassure our heart before him; for whenever our heart condemns us, God is greater than our heart, and he knows everything.

John 3:16-17:

“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him

Know that choosing to/to not act upon anything that we say here is at your sole discretion.

Keep up the good work my sisters. Let the LOVE of Christ be manifest in you and be the light to others so our Father may be glorified as per Mat 5:16!

    God bless you richly!
