Today, I came across a site called Cards for Hope; an international program dedicated to giving/mailing cards to those children that suffer from cancer.
The Mission: As started exactly from the site, “ Cards of Hope was created to bring inspiration and happiness to people battling CANCER. Cards of Hope was founded because of my experience with staying with my friend, Pennie, who had terminal cancer. She was always looking for some glimmer of hope or joy in every day that she was alive. Battling CANCER is a horrendous thing to have to go through, and I feel that if I can do anything to brighten a Cancer warrior’s day then I will do it.”
So basically, the idea is to send these precious children cards that will brighten their day and that will uplift them in spirit. This is an idea that me and Bonnibel both love and wholeheartedly support as we love that the mission is helping to build these children up, to give them hope ( God gives hope, has hope for us (Jeremiah 29:11)/is God of hope ( Romans 15:13).
How can you help ? Well, you can help by sharing the site here; don’t underestimate the impact that sharing can have. You can also click on their donation tab where you will find a whole list of items that you can donate such as crayons, cards, envelopes, stamps ( even used stamps), bookmarks and so much more. They also have an option where you can send money orders/check per the address available on the site. If you feel led to give; whether it’s a prayer for the program, a stamp, your time to share….know that it all counts. We here at G.B.Y.S want to show our support so we will be working on sending something to them hopefully soon.
Until next time,
2 Corinthians 4:16-18: 16: So we do not lose heart. Though our outer self is wasting away, our inner self is being renewed day by day. 17For this light momentary affliction is preparing for us an eternal weight of glory beyond all comparison, 18as we look not to the things that are seen but to the things that are unseen. For the things that are seen are transient, but the things that are unseen are eternal.
