Trust in God

I wanted to speak a little bit about trust in God. I have to be honest, I have been tested in trusting in God. And while that has been going on, for a while now, it has been shown to me that I need to trust in him a whole lot more. There are times where I get caught up in things of this life and I wonder how many people do that, many I’m sure. Although, when that happens I have to remind myself that I am not living for THIS worldly life here but for the life after this life and who am I living for, myself? No, not for myself but for God. No matter how strong are faith is, we all go through circumstances that we question God’s authority over our lives. When we see others blessed by God, we don’t doubt it for a minute but when it comes to us, in our personal lives, we question is power.

Those lies come from hell itself, they are there to confuse us and to compare ourselves to others such as if you see a brother and sister in Christ blessed with something. Then you are tempted to think, well I believe in what they believe in and I am walking in faith like they are walking. Why shouldn’t I get this or that or be blessed like them…that is comparing oneself to another. That you shouldn’t do because it has been said 2 Corinthians 10:12 “For we dare not make ourselves of the number, or compare ourselves with some that commend themselves: but they measuring themselves by themselves, and comparing themselves among themselves, are not wise.”

When God blesses someone with something, a brother or sister in Christ, be genuinely happy for them knowing that our God is a merciful God and a giving God. That he came to them at times of trouble or times they needed him, he came to them. As a witness to that, reminding yourself. That God will to come for you and provide for you all of your needs and he will not leave you nor forsake you. You are his. Don’t grow angry or jealous over someone who has had a blessing or a gift from God. That is not something God would want for any of his children to feel, left out. God is forever, limitless, he has no boundaries, he is infinity. He will not run out of blessings or miracles. Please continue to trust in him, to provide for you and to give you what you desire. But only if you seek him, ask him and he shall give it to you according to his will and his timing and your faith.

Trust in God, trust in God for the best, no matter what happens, good or bad. It is a step in faith and a test in faith as well. As human beings we really look at what is in front of us, what is touchable and what we can se. When things seem down, we think that is all there is that is happening in our lives, negative events.  But God is working, he is always working for our good, even though the enemy wants it for our bad. God turns around the bad for it to profit us in our walk in him, how? To be stronger, to be wiser, and even to be more understanding in our walk in Christ. We can’t see the unseen but that is what faith is all about, trusting in God’s promises. That they are forever and his word does not return to him void.  Isiah 55: 10-11 “For as the rain cometh down, and the snow from heaven, and returneth not thither, but watereth the earth, and maketh it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower, and bread to the eater: So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.”

We know that the word of God tells us who we are, not man, not our mothers, not our dad’s, not our sisters or brothers. Not anyone but God that knows who we truly are and tells in his word. So, when you have a doubtful thought in your heart, just remind yourself of God’s promises, trust in those promises and trust in HIM. He is the almighty, he will never fail and he never sleep or slumber. God is always and will always be. Trust that he has you under his wings and he will never let you  go, so don’t let him go.

Genesis 15:6 “And he believed in the LORD; and he counted it to him for righteousness.” This verse is talking of Abraham.

Romans 8:28 “And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.” Notice the key words, ALL things work TOGETHER for good to them that LOVE God and is CALLED according to HIS purpose. You hear him calling you? Answer, its worth it.

Proverbs 3:5 “Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.” Whatever the world has told you, good or bad, don’t think of those things but think of what God has told you of the world and who you are and who you are in him. It’s all in his word.

Psalms 46:10 ” Be still, and know that I am God: I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth.” This verse speaks for itself, be still.

God bless you and God loves you! Remember to  trust in him always.

Love,

Bonnibel
