How do you know you are really living as what a Christian supposed to live? Is being a Christian really being perfect, well I will be the first one to tell you, no. Christians are not perfect beings, we are far from perfect but living for Christ, that is what we are trying to achieve. Jesus Christ is perfect, God is perfect, we are not because we live in the flesh. It’s our flesh that makes us weak in keeping a perfect life. What is apart of our flesh? Many things, such as our feelings (bad and good), our desires (bad and good), our lusts (bad), our wishes (bad and good), our sins (all bad). Matthew 26:41 “Watch and pray, that ye enter not into temptation: the spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.” THIS, is so true. AS Christians, are spirit is willing to live for Christ, to love for God. To be all that we want to be in him but our flesh can stand in a way at times. BUT, the Lord knows this, he understand this, he has seen this, it is not new to him that we go through these “fleshly” things.
However, as Christian human beings, being saved and anointed, appointed to his will and to take up the cross and to follow him. We do make mistakes but we turn back to him for repentance and humbleness. Getting down on our knees, praying to God, asking for his forgiveness, to strengthen us, to equip us to be all that he wants to be. 2 Chronicles 7:14 “If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.” Luke 13:3 “I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish. Acts 17:30 “And the times of this ignorance God winked at; but now commandeth all men every where to repent:”
As Christians, being imperfect, this is what we must do, repent everyday. To turn AWAY from our sins and not to do them again but to try to be like Christ. Now for those who live in carnal, do not repent or ask forgiveness of sins but continue to sin, whatever that may be that God hates (sin) and he says in his word not to do. That is what we have to repent of but those who do not know God, does not and is of the World. Is this just non-Christians, no this is non-Christians and can be so-called Christians alike that do these things. The difference is, is that those are not Christian, do them out of ignorance ( not knowing Jesus Christ) and those who are, do them out of disobedience. Galatians 5:21 “Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.” 1 Corinthians 6:9 ” Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind,”
People/ Christians who believe in Christ but do these things, will not inherit the kingdom of God. Why? Because the bible says so, as Christians we cannot feed our flesh but to live as God wants us to live. We owe that to him, we can’t give anything to God because he is everything and has everything. All we can give is ourselves and what does he asks of us? 2 Peter 3:14 “Wherefore, beloved, seeing that ye look for such things, be diligent that ye may be found of him in peace, without spot, and blameless.” This is what we must be before God, the King of the Universe, the Almighty. This is what we must live by, these standards, not by worldly standards but by God’s. If you see a brother or sister in Christ sin, don’t judge by worldly standards, matter of a fact, don’t judge at all because as human beings we are not called to judge but to love. We must tell those who do know and do not know, what would the consequences of not living for God be. We must tell the truth in love and not hide the truth from others because we know the truth and we must share it. So, share it to those who aren’t living by the truth or don’t know the truth, tell them who Christ is and what he did for them, what he did for us all.
Again, don’t tell them what YOU think, but what God thinks of their sins. That God loves them regardless but wants us to have eternal life with him. That is why he sent is only Son on earth to be sacrificed for us because he loved us, even in our sins. To serve the God, is not a burden but a gift, a real awesome gift and a privilege. Again, for a God to love us in our sins, for God to give his Son (Jesus) while we were sinning. For God to still love us when the world is driving itself in more darkness each day and running away from the light (Jesus). For us to know this, we should want to share his truth because the more people know, the more people would see that God is a loving God, a merciful God, and a God that wants to show/give us his divine purpose for us. That is what we want, really, Christians and non-Christians alike. We want to know our purpose, our destiny call, but I say, no man would ever really know if he does not follow Christ Jesus. Because it was God who formed you in your mother’s belly and it was God who loved you from the beginning. Romans 5:8 “But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.” Ephesians 1:4 “According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love:”
God wants YOU sister, brother, stranger, whoever you are or wherever you come from, he loves you and wants YOU to enter into his kingdom. So give up the lusts therein, give up the hate, give up the drunkenness, give us the sexual immorality, give up the lies, give up the gossip, give up the past that hurt you and humiliated you, give up the evil and turn your heart to God and let him love you. Because that is what we wants to give you, his love, his peace, his blessings! He created you, you are made in HIS image, so run to him, stop living in sin and stop trying to grab lifeless and sinful things that don’t matter. That won’t fulfill you, only God can. Your soul matters, YOU matter to God, you don’t matter to the world, but you matter to God. Open your heart to him, live for him, SEEK him, draw close to him and shall draw close to you. James 4:8 “Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you. Cleanse your hands, ye sinners; and purify your hearts, ye double minded.”
Its time to stop living for your flesh and time to start living for God. God bless you and God loves you.
